Star Wars: A Galaxy at War is a hardcover reference book compiling three previously published young-reader titles from authors Simon Beecroft and Lindsay Kent: Star Wars: Epic Battles, Star Wars: Ultimate Duels, and Star Wars: Beware the Dark Side. It was first published by Dorling Kindersley on May 15, 2014[1] and re-released under the Disney brand in 2015. It was again released under the Disney brand in 2018.
When asked about why the book had been rereleased by a fan, Pablo Hidalgo—who is given Lucasfilm Story Group credits in the rereleased edition, suggesting the book was approved by that team—did not recall the book off the top of his head.[2] Based on what he suspected about books with little new information, such as young reader texts that largely stay close to Skywalker saga information, he reasoned there had been little need to actively revisit the text before rerelease if the fan's reporting was accurate.[3]
