The Chommell sector was a galactic sector located in the Mid Rim.[1] Lightly populated, it comprised 36 full-member worlds, over 40,000 settled dependencies, and 300,000,000 barren stars.[17] It notably included the Naboo system[1] and Karlinus.[5] The sector was represented in the Galactic Senate of the Galactic Republic by Sheev Palpatine[4] and later Padmé Amidala.[5] The sector took its name from the Chommell Minor system.[3] In 228 BBY,[18] Eye of the Nihil Marchion Ro began haphazardly expanding the border of his Stormwall barrier that prevented hyperspace, with one such expansion engulfing most of the Chommell sector, including Naboo.[2]

Defy the Storm and Temptation of the Force establish that the Stormwall expansion which engulfed most of the Chommell sector occurred between the two novels, therefore meaning it must taken place that year.
