The Alderaan sector was a sector located in the Core Worlds region of the galaxy.
History[]
It notably contained the planet Alderaan,[1] a peaceful and influential world until its destruction by the Galactic Empire.[5] It was represented in the Senate of the Galactic Republic by such Alderaanian figures as Bail Antilles[8] and Viceroy Bail Organa.[9] Organa continued to represent the sector in the Imperial Senate before he was succeeded by his daughter, Princess Leia Organa,[6] who later went on to represent the sector in the reconstituted Galactic Senate of the New Republic.[1]
