"Droid Holiday Hustle" is a non-canon animated LEGO short released on November 18, 2022 on the LEGO YouTube and StarWarsKids.com channels. It is part of the LEGO STAR WARS: Celebrate the Season series.[1]

Official description[]

C-3PO and R2-D2 hustle across the galaxy in all modes of transportation to get to their holiday dinner on time.[2]

Plot summary[]

R2-D2 and C-3PO race to Mos Eisley's spaceport but are too late to catch their departing shuttle. They attempt to board a quadjumper but a human boy does not allow them to board since it is full. They then approach a sleeping Rebel Alliance X-wing starfighter pilot. R2-D2 wakes up the sleeping pilot and shows him a hologram map of their destination. The pilot allows the two droids to ride in the astromech socket of his starship.

During the hyperspace journey, C-3PO clings onto dear life and causes R2-D2 to miscalculate the jump. The X-wing exits hyperspace prematurely and crashes on a snowy rocky world. They are approached by an AT-AT walker, which allows them to ride with several passengers. Later, the droids find passage aboard a TIE fighter.

Later on Endor, the droids are carried by Ewoks who attempted to follow the coordinates displayed by R2-D2. The droids then fly various transports including an A-wing starfighter, an LAAT/i gunship, and finally the Razor Crest. The two droids ride down a turbolift where they join a family dinner consisting of Han Solo, Leia Organa, Luke Skywalker, Chewbacca, and Lando Calrissian.
