Super Nintendo Entertainment System - Nintendo Switch Online is an online-only service exclusively for Nintendo Switch Online, where subscribers get access to a selection of classic games from the Super Nintendo Entertainment System catalog. An app is freely downloadable from the Switch's Nintendo eShop, and would be active for the duration of the Switch Online's subscription. At launch, there were 20 games included with the service.

The game includes the Rewind function and supports 2-player multiplayer, both local and online.

Similar to the NES component, it also works with the Nintendo Switch Online's smartphone app for voice chat purposes.

SNES Controller

Alongside release, a wireless version of the Super Nintendo Entertainment System controller was materialized, and includes two additional "ZL" and "ZR" buttons, as well as a sync button. While running the service, the "ZL" button functions as the screenshot button, and the "ZR" button as the home button; pressing both opens the pause menu, which allows for the creation and loading of Suspension Points and returning to the game menu, while holding both down allows the player to rewind the game up to four minutes. PAL and Japanese (Super Famicom) versions are also available.
