- "Anyway, Mr. Stark, you didn't have to come all the way out here. I had that. I was fine."
"Oh, I'm not... here." - ―Peter Parker and Tony Stark[src]
The Iron Man Armor: Mark XLVII is Tony Stark's forty-seventh Iron Man suit. It was built after the Mark XLVI was damaged by Captain America.
History[]
Chase of Adrian Toomes' Crew[]
- "Thank God this place has Wi-Fi or you would be toast right now."
- ―Tony Stark to Peter Parker[src]
As Spider-Man fell into a lake after a skirmish with Vulture, Tony Stark activated the Mark XLVII remotely using Wi-Fi to save him. Using the suit's connection, Stark communicated with Parker and asked him to stop pursuing Vulture. When Stark disconnected the call, F.R.I.D.A.Y. took over the suit's controls and flew away.[2]
Staten Island Ferry Incident[]
A couple of weeks later, when the MV Spirit of America Staten Island Ferry was split in half due to another fight between Spider-Man and Vulture, Iron Man arrived with the Mark XLVII and several mini-thrusters to assist in pushing the two parts together, repairing the ferry and saving everyone. Shortly after, Parker snapped at Stark for ostensibly ignoring his warnings and for not being present, believing him to once again be remotely controlling the suit. Stark then exited the suit to demonstrate that he was actually present.[2]
Capabilities[]
This section requires expansion |
- Superhuman Strength: The armor amplifies its pilot's strength to superhuman levels. It allowed Stark to push half of a ferry.
- Superhuman Durability: To be added
- Superhuman Speed: To be added
- Superhuman Agility: To be added
- Superhuman Stamina: To be added
- Superhuman Reflexes: To be added
- Flight: Like previous versions of the armor, this one allows for flight via jets in the back, boots, and palm repulsors.
- Heads Up Display (HUD): To be added
- Self-Contained Life-Support System and Environmental Protection: The armor can be submerged underwater without ill effects.
- Armor Summoning: To be added
- Collapsible Plating: A design adapted from the Mark V and Mark VII, the armor plating could open and close up from head to toe and allow the user to seamlessly step in and out of the suit at will.
- Remote Control: Like the Iron Legion, the armor can be controlled remotely. The armor was activated by Stark while he was in India.
- Repulsors: To be added
- Unibeam: To be added
- Lasers: This new armor incorporated a laser system more developed than that of the Mark XLVI, allowing it to seamless weld together the breaking section of a collapsing ferry once Tony Stark's mini-repulsor thrusters aligned the section together.
