The Ironheart Armor: Mark II is Riri Williams' second Ironheart suit, created solely out of vibranium in Shuri's lab. It was notably used by Ironheart to fight the Talokanil in their war against Wakanda.

History[]

Talokanil-Wakandan War[]

Creation[]

This section needs a rewrite

Following the Talokanil's attack on Wakanda, Shuri and the Wakandans prepared to launch a counter-attack on the Talokanil. Using Shuri's lab, Williams built an upgraded armor out of vibranium, painting in red and black.[1]

Ironheart defeats Namora with her armor

As the Talokanil were lured towards the Sea Leopard, Williams wore her armor to participate in the resulting battle. Taking on Namor with the armor's flight capabilities, Ironheart distracted him long enough for Griot to pilot the Royal Talon Fighter and capture him. As Black Panther fought Namor, Ironheart engaged Talokanil warriors with her repulsor blasts, shooting them off the ship. Ironheart was ambushed by Namora, fighting her in the air until she emerged victorious, blasting Namora into the water.[1]

Return to MIT[]

This section needs a rewrite

Following Wakanda and Talokan's truce, Williams prepared for her return to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, with Shuri informing her that Wakanda would maintain possession of her armor as she returned to Cambridge.[1]

Capabilities[]

This section requires expansion
  • Superhuman Strength: To be added
  • Superhuman Durability: With the armor, William composed vibranium onto it granting greater durability as the suit withstood against other weaponry made of the same source with no visible damage.
  • Superhuman Speed: With the armor, she can adjust the thrusters to boost more faster than the Mark I.
  • Superhuman Agility: With the armor, her movement is more agile as being in the air Riri was able to flip backwards as well as turn and maneuver at threats.
  • Superhuman Stamina: With the armor, it provides more energy than the Mark I to remain active longer to support the user’s weapons and system functions.
  • Superhuman Reflexes: To be added
  • Flight: With the armor, more advanced than the Mark I as the repulsors can be grant users to fly.
  • Heads Up Display (HUD): With the armor, Williams can heads-up-display with Griot for support as artificial intelligence.
  • Repulsors: With the armor, in addition to the Mark I Williams added the Wakandan technology to place two blasters on the arm parts to shoot targets.
  • Unibeam: With the armor, unlike the first model allows the users to blast energy beams out the middle chest with the arc reactor.

Trivia[]

  • According to concept art, the armor was slim, which is what can be seen on the schematics. However, the bulkier version (named "Mark 2.5" by Phil Saunders) was added on to the Mark II. In original versions, the "Mark 2.5" would have come off the armor to help Ironheart during the battle, but this was scrapped as the "Mark 2.5" was kept throughout the battle.[2]
