The Chris Stearns Skrull was a member of the Skrull Council, who simmed Chris Stearns, acting out as a news anchor on FXN. Together with other members of the Council, he nominated Gravik as the new General and oversaw the plans to create Super-Skrulls and invade humanity covertly. However, with President James Ritson declaring war on the Skrulls and the rescue of Stearns, this imposter was quickly exposed and killed.
Biography[]
Moving to Earth[]
In 1997, he fled to Earth, seeking a safe haven from being hunted across the galaxy. There, Talos and Nick Fury offered a deal in which the Skrulls would work to keep Earth safe while Fury and Carol Danvers sought a new home for the Skrulls. The Skrull agreed to help, taking on a new human form.[1]

Reporting on Unity Day Bombing[]

A Skrull impersonated the reporter Chris Stearns, and reported on the bombing at Vossoyedineniye Square, claiming that it was unlikely to have truly been comitted by the United States of America, despite the supposed appearance of Americans Against Russia's leader, Martin Wallace.[1] Stearns interviewed Senator Byers, asking him what he had heard about the attack.[3]
Skrull Council Meetings[]
"Stearns" attended a meeting of the Skrull Council, which Gravik appeared at uninvited. Gravik was questioned about the Bombing of Vossoyedineniye Square, so he started talking about Nick Fury breaking his promise to find a new home for the Skrulls. "Stearns" nodded his head with Gravik in agreement, considering his words. The Skrull impersonating Pamela Lawton nominated Gravik to the position of Skrull General, and "Stearns" watched as the Skrull impersonating Sergio Caspani tried to scold "Lawton" for colluding with Gravik. However, "Caspani" was chopped in the throat, silencing him. "Lawton" asked those who stood with Gravik to submit, and "Stearns" chose to stand with Gravik.[1]
Learning about Super Skrulls[]
"Stearns" and the rest of the Skrull Council were brought to New Skrullos and showed the Super-Skrull Machine by Gravik. Gravik explained that he had sent operatives to infiltrate the Royal Navy and attack the United Nations, adding that he had created a way to give Skrulls superpowers, saying that they would attack once the humans had weakened each other. "Stearns" then returned to the studio and reported that he did not trust the leaders of the world, warning that World War III would be coming.[4]
Exposed and Killed[]
"Stearns" reveals himself upon dying
United States President James Ritson delivered an address to the nation revealing the existence of Skrulls, declaring them to be enemy combatants. Inspired by Ritson's words, a group of people infiltrated "Stearns" studio, shooting and killing him.[2]
Personality[]
"Stearns" was a practical individual who did what was necessary to survive. While on the Skrull Council, he impersonated humans and acted like one in order to remain welcome on Earth, despite his agreement with Gravik that Nick Fury had failed them. Once Gravik was nominated for Skrull General, he saw that another Skrull was violently silenced for speaking out against Gravik, so he silently agreed to submit to Gravik.
