The Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Remember Me (超時空要塞マクロス -リメンバーミ- Chō Jikū Yōsai Rimenbā Mi) is a turn-based strategy game, developed by Family Soft and released on March 1993. It was followed by The Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Skull Leader in May 1994 and included in the complete edition, The Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Skull Leader Complete Pack on July 1995.
Overview[]
It is a strategy game where the player has control of the SDF-1 Macross' bridge, and can decide on things such as which squadrons to scramble, fleets to deploy, etc. The game has a high learning curve, employing several screens filled with stats and destinations that may overwhelm newcomers to the genre.
Players can select the SDF-1 which will provide a list of troops under you command. You then select your units and move them around the battle screen as you see fit.
The graphics are sharp, static stills, often of scenes from the film The Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Do You Remember Love?. The battles are somewhat animated, with the missiles and lasers firing back and forth. After a battle is over, players will receive damage and loss reports, and the music changes in accordance of the situation.
It's been noted that the first disk of the game can be used in conjunction with its sequel, The Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Skull Leader to unlock new missions.[1]
