It's been a while since I actually felt scared and anxious watching a film in a cinema... The disorientation of the protagonist really justifies the many Dutch angles used throughout.

Afraid 2024
Every scene ends so awkwardly. The acting is below average. The story is not compelling, but the concept is quite scary... Predictable but still scary...
There was potential, it wasn't executed well enough... I did, however, enjoy the suspense in the beginning... But it all lead to nothing anyway :)

Inside the Mind of a Dog 2024
Although I enjoyed this, the title should've been :
"How dogs become service dogs" because that's what it's really about. -
Trap 2024
Shyamalan truly challenged himself in this suspenseful concept of feeling trapped in a place full of people.
The only problem I have with this narrative is that the main character does not feel like a real serial killer as sold in the baseline of the story. If the film is going to be about a man who butchers people for fun, at least give us some backstory or flashback to make it feel believable considering his situation of finally being… -

Longlegs 2024
This was clearly inspired by James Wan's DEAD SILENCE but with a cringey satanic spin...
I was mostly irritated by how hard this crime story tried to be an artistic visual, much less a story worth telling... The Substance 2024
I'll just keep this review short...
This film hits every mark when it comes to proper storytelling. It is absurd. It is nerve wrecking. It is beautiful. It is scary. It is disgusting. It is properly captured.
It keeps you glued to the screen as the story vividly unfolds with the viewer's expectations constantly considered and flipped around.
It is definitely a film the world needs right now considering beauty standards, social media and the way we define "perfection".
I'll probably revisit this one every once in a while just to appreciate its execution.Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow!
