• Afraid

    Afraid

    ★★

Every scene ends so awkwardly. The acting is below average. The story is not compelling, but the concept is quite scary... Predictable but still scary...

There was potential, it wasn't executed well enough... I did, however, enjoy the suspense in the beginning... But it all lead to nothing anyway :)

  • The Human Centipede (First Sequence)

    The Human Centipede (First Sequence)

    ½

    Terrible filmmaking ❤️

  • The Lie

    The Lie

If you're gonna make a film about A LIE, at least have me believe it in the end... There was no climatic impact and was totally predictable since the first 20min... I was hoping the lie itself was a bit more sinister than some game between teenagers...
Yes, I spoiled it without a LB filter, I want my hour and a half back.

  • Terrifier

    Terrifier

Absolutely horrible in every single way.
    Skip.

  • Insidious: The Red Door

    Insidious: The Red Door

    ★★

I'm a huge Insidious fan, but this franchise should've died after the second installment.
The Red Door (#5) serves as nothing more than a heartless cash grabber... I couldn't wait for it to end... It is nothing compared to the first and second film.
2 stars for the cinematography though.
    ------
Please let go of this franchise!

  • Five Nights at Freddy's

    Five Nights at Freddy's

    ★★★

    Just a fun little watch...
I enjoyed it more than I thought I would... Being a fan of the games, I really like how they brought that world to the big screen through a touchy story that I didn't really care much about... but still kinda wanted to see what happens next.
The "scaryness" of it doesn't feel forced and its subtlety is what kept me waiting for the end... It's a unique film and the production design really takes the stand.
    Also, nice cinematography.

  • Nefarious

    Nefarious

    ★★★½

A film that relies heavily on Dialogue but in a very interesting way. Also, a very interesting take on religion and overall demonic possession (specially for me, an agnostic).
This film will leave you with thoughts you never thought of when properly engaged with.

  • Control

    Control

    ★★★½

This film is way better than its IMDB rating... It might be because of the acting, but one cannot overlook a perfectly curated concept and production design just because it lacks some performance queues here and there. The ending left me shook in my seat and I'd definitely watch it again for some science fictional inspiration!

  • Transformers: Rise of the Beasts

    Transformers: Rise of the Beasts

    ½

I wish I could get my money back :)

  • Trap

    Trap

    ★★★

Shyamalan truly challenged himself in this suspenseful concept of feeling trapped in a place full of people.
The only problem I have with this narrative is that the main character does not feel like a real serial killer as sold in the baseline of the story. If the film is going to be about a man who butchers people for fun, at least give us some backstory or flashback to make it feel believable considering his situation of finally being…

  • Jeepers Creepers 2

    Jeepers Creepers 2

    ★★★

They don't make em like this anymore...

  • Cobweb

    Cobweb

Laughably stupid. Predictable. Dumb in every single way... Kinda cool cinematography though.
