It's been a while since I actually felt scared and anxious watching a film in a cinema... The disorientation of the protagonist really justifies the many Dutch angles used throughout.

The Substance 2024
I'll just keep this review short...
This film hits every mark when it comes to proper storytelling. It is absurd. It is nerve wrecking. It is beautiful. It is scary. It is disgusting. It is properly captured.
It keeps you glued to the screen as the story vividly unfolds with the viewer's expectations constantly considered and flipped around.
It is definitely a film the world needs right now considering beauty standards, social media and the way we define "perfection".
I'll probably revisit this one every once in a while just to appreciate its execution.Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow!

Oppenheimer 2023
Although I was trying to keep up with all the political facts about the history within narrative, I thoroughly enjoyed this remarkable achievement in filmmaking that brings the art of commercial cinema to the big screen.
The beats are perfect, the cinematography is everything and the performances will leave you stunned. Oppenheimer serves as a subtle approach to the trauma of the second world war and allows its viewer to surf waves of emotion that is carefully motivated by visual metaphors. -

Poor Things 2023
Okay... The point is... This film is unnecessary. And I feel like it's being recognized for the wrong reasons. The overly used explicit scenes made me question whether this narrative is even worth following anymore. The cinematography is great and thats where my 2 stars come in, but other than that... I don't get the hype.

Longlegs 2024
This was clearly inspired by James Wan's DEAD SILENCE but with a cringey satanic spin...
I was mostly irritated by how hard this crime story tried to be an artistic visual, much less a story worth telling... By the time you understand the pretentious confusion of the simple plot you ask yourself, is that really all? Nothing really happens and when something does happen the film fails to sustain its dramatic relief. Maybe it's because I find religious-based horrors to… -

Zathura: A Space Adventure 2005
This was my childhood movie go-to.
After revisiting it in 2024, I cannot believe what they achieved as Visual Effects in 2005.
(compared to the garbage we see today).
Wow. Wow. Wow. -
Perfume: The Story of a Murderer 2006
I was drifting in the sublime ocean of curiosity and perfect filmmaking for 2 hours and 20minutes.
