Nic Cage as Longlegs is perfect casting, it was great to see him wild out and have fun. Maika Monroe also gives an outstanding performance, this is up there with It Follows as one of her best roles. 

The first two chapters were really great, I was fully invested and thought their efforts to keep the viewer from figuring out the mystery were excellent but then the last chapter really did not land well for me. I found the ending to be such a damn cop out, and while I know for some people it’ll be great, but I hated just how much they spoon fed the audience all the information. With the promotions for this movie everything was so ambiguous, I was really hoping some of that would transfer over to the film but nope we get this straight forward third act. I should’ve known with Osgood Perkins that this was to be expected but I still feel let down. The setup in the first two chapters did not transfer well into this fairytale bullshit ending that was delivered. I did highly fuck with the aesthetic and cinematography of this film, even the editing was really excellent.
