At first, and even halfway through, I found "Longlegs" really compelling with its great retro feeling. That gritty '90s vibe was something I'd truly missed. However, as the story unfolded, it couldn't sustain that initial quality.
It feels like an arthouse short movie stretched to fit a feature-length format, lacking the substance needed to fill the runtime, and missing the deep character work I'd hoped for. Still, it offers a beautifully dark atmosphere, but there's a lot of untapped potential.
