Holy shit this movie is incredible and got under my skin and made me anxious like no movie had done in a while. The overwhelmingly eerie vibes are present from the first seconds and don’t release you from its clenches until after the credits end. Even then the horrors and unnerving experience hasn’t left me from 15 hours ago. The cinematography is outstanding and just adds so perfectly to the dread and uncomfortableness.
The performances from the entire cast are great. Cage is unhinged and terrifying but it’s Maika Monroe that blew me away. Her performance was quiet but so perfect I couldn’t take my eyes off her. She will win an Oscar one day. I do have a few very minor things I’m unsure how I feel about but I can’t get into that without spoilers. So please everyone go watch Longlegs this weekend!
