prometheus stole fire from the gods and gave it to man. for this he was chained to a rock and tortured for eternity. 

what an opening quote. not even a minute into the film and the tone is perfectly set right away. 

exploring the depths of man’s greed and the relentless desire to create a lasting legacy — only nolan could do this biopic justice. 

so meticulously crafted and put together to perfectly convey the colossal scale of destruction and feeling of pure dread. it’s actually jaw-dropping how flawlessly this was done. 

this is now probably one of my favourite scores of all time as well!! “can you hear the music” has been on repeat since!! blending classical string ensembles with droning synths… what a genius way to depict the impending man-made horrors. i got goosebumps when this played at full blast in the cinema. 

this just further proved to me though that i 100% need subtitles for every single film i watch because i’m pretty sure i missed about a quarter of the dialogue — the only reason why i’m rating this a low 4.5. makes me even more excited to rewatch it though.
