❄️Love is RED⛄️ 🍉’s review published on Letterboxd:
Hi everyone. I hope you’re doing well today.
So I deleted my Letterboxd entry for the short film “The Bear”, which was an excuse to promote my article on the tv show and how that show meant so much to me as a person. I didn’t deleted from my newsletter, because why would I? I deleted my entry for it.
Now why would I deleted you may ask? Well because I was getting bombarde by countless people who are saying that I don’t appreciate art like the short, and I’m a pathetic looser, and I shouldn’t review TV shows on here, when the app Serializd exists (which I have, and you should go and follow me over there). Even though I was trying to be nice and not get into fights or anything like that, the hatred for it came piled upon and I couldn’t take it anymore. So I had to deleted it for my own sanity (even though I could have turn the comments for friends only, but oh well).
But even with those nasty comments, it made me think that maybe I was being unfair and not review the short film that Hilary Audus and countless other talented people put their heart and soul into it, only to give it the middle finger by review the tv show that so happened shared the same name. Even with my constant defense of wanting to use the film as a way to promote my article, that wasn’t en excuse to do what I did.
So for all that, I want to apologize to everyone who called me out for what I did for the log and just tell them to fuck off for what I did, and I want to apologize to Hilary Audus and her short for using that site to review an unrelated TV Show. I know all of this isn’t something I should be hunged up on and such, but there’s still part of me that felt bad for what I did and want to be open about it.
So to make up for it, not only will I watch the short itself and give my honest opinion on it, but I also making a vow to myself to not review TV shows on here unless they’re officially on here like I will with Normal People (since I’m currently watching that show it’s so good) or if its a behind the scenes thing that’s related to that show (like with Avatar Spirits), and I’m going to promote my article about The Bear on here. Since despite everything, I’m so proud of the article and I wanted to share it with you all. Especially when I gotten a lot of nice comments about it when I originally posted on there.
So yeah, it has been a mess these last few hours especially when I’m trying to deal with it while at my shift at work today and caused me a panic attack of sorts. But glad things are better now. Hopefully I won’t get canceled for it all. Thanks for reading.
EDIT (7/9): I made a separate PD post that’s more promoting The Bear article.
