Sooo….I’ve been seeing a lot of people voice their opinion on how LB has become this toxic place and I think that’s really sad. Letterboxd is supposed to be a communal experience for movie lovers. We’re all here for the exact same reason, because we love movies. No one should get on here and be afraid of what others might think of their ratings or personal views of a film. Isn’t that what subjectivity is all about? We aren’t supposed to like the same thing, if we did we’d all be robots now wouldn’t we?
I love my friends and mutuals here because at the end of the day, whether we disagree on something or not, the respect will always be there and I don’t tolerate that toxic behavior. I love Indies, I love blockbusters, I love the “Capeshit”, I love the classics, I love trash comedy, I simply love it all. I love variety and I wish everyone did as well
