An apocalyptic story set in the furthest reaches of our planet, in a stark desert landscape where humanity is broken, and most everyone is crazed fighting for the necessities of life. Within this world exist two rebels on the run who just might be able to restore order.
Damn this shit hit as hard as any film I’ve ever seen! With the most batshit constant action sequences I’ve ever seen. Huge shoutout to all the stunt performers that worked on this because they’re all extremely impressive. The visual effects are insanely magnificent and this easily surpasses the other films in the franchise in both categories which isn’t surprising.
What really stands out to me though was how simple but effective this story is. With it being an essentially an apocalyptic road trip film. Damn it’s an engrossing simple story. George Miller nailed it both within the script and direction. Charlize Theron plays Furiosa and she did phenomenal. Her character is easily the best in this film and you can see why they’re doing a prequel for her. Which going through this franchise has me very excited for next week.
