"My name is Max. My world is fire and blood. Once, I was a cop. A road warrior searching for a righteous cause. As the world fell, each of us in our own way was broken. It was hard to know who was more crazy. Me... or everyone else. I am the one who runs from both the living and the dead. Hunted by scavengers. Haunted by those I could not protect. So I exist in this Wasteland. A man reduced to a single instinct: survive."
The first 121 minutes of this film might be the greatest achievement in filmmaking history. It is by far the best, that the wasteland series has to offer and what monstrous casting to bring it all to life.
From the machines roaring in desert to endless chase in the dunes, from the War Boys continuously screaming 'Witness Me' to the badass Furiosa with a mechanical arm, it all comes together with such explosion.
Oh old Max, in the whirlwind of dust, fire and steering wheels, haunted by memories and voices of the past with few words but a lot of grunts, this depiction is as true as it can get - Tom Hardy, you are a force. Take a bow.
High octane chaos at its peak. What a film. I guess, I am ready for Furiosa.
