Further proof of why the happy birthday song sucks!
Maika Monroe and Nicolas Cage just own the screen here. Perkins creates such a tense, captivating, and scary mystery. The cinematography is genuinely perfect and the camera just allows for so much creativity here.
I wouldn’t call this film scary. It’s just unsettling. Sometimes deeply unsettling. But it’s that feeling that leaves your eyes glued to the screen as your captivated by the mystery unfolding.
