Can’t tell if I’m furious or impressed by the fact that the entire premise of this movie is a lie— those 7 photographs from the 19th century never existed!!! Hlynur Pálmason made em up! We were waiting for them when the credits rolled but they never appeared, and a quick google search left me weirdly steaming while also thinking “Palmason, you sly dog.”
One of the most visually stunning movies I’ve ever seen,…
Since everyone keeps comparing this to Michael Tolkin’s The Rapture, I’ll use this review to let you know my dad really enjoyed Knock at the Cabin!
But keep the comparisons coming because it’s been great that this movie has caused a Rapture revival!!! (FWIW I think he did it better but I enjoyed both. This less, but still. Bautista is such a great apocalyptic himbo!)
