If you want to learn the basics of writing a screenplay, watch this movie and take notes.

Any movie with this much Muse and parkour cannot be legally considered good.

    Peak Denzel IMO.

Waited to rewatch this until after Joe and Kamala were sworn in. That was a very good decision I think.

What if Shepherd was played by Danny DeVito? I think that would make for a better movie. Actually maybe he could play the VP since this didn’t have one. I like Danny DeVito!

I've never been much of an "eh, I'll throw this on" movie-watcher but for whatever reason, the urge came.

This is about how I remember it, but tbh, has aged really well in its social conscience, as most of the McKay films of this era have. At this rate, this current era will have the reverse effect.

Not sure why, but the news team visibly being in the bar and their reveal as Ron is called back to duty might be my favorite joke.

That and Vince Vaughn dialing it up for no particular reason.

    Good movie!

Not what I expected from a West Wing prequel.

Amidst a wave of other filmmakers (Spielberg, Anderson, Branagh to name a few too many) digging into their pasts to tell their boyhood stories, Richard Linklater's first film since 2019's bizarre but well intentioned Where'd You Go, Bernadette? is arguably his sixth film in that mold.

This time, it feels a lot more autobiographic, and instead of shooting on old film stock or lighting every shot like it's a folgers commercial, Linklater went back to a rotoscope style, which fits…

I wanted to watch Endgame so I fast forwarded through the boring parts.

Ex: Thor building the axe, scenes with Thanos and Gamora.

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

Bumping this up to a 3 1/2 (4 after Endgame)

Credit where credit its due. This is super rewatchable and just overall impressive in construct. Maybe if Marvel colored their characters with different traits than nobility, humor and arrogance, this could have landed a little better on an emotional level.

As it stands, Infinity War like most that have come before it from Feige is just good enough. My instincts tell me Endgame will be just good enough to get the Avengers brand a few years off before the next big threat turns up.

All things considered, I’m stoked for Friday night.

Re-watching this and taking notes. Enjoy.

    - Thanos says something along the lines of "There's no resurrection this time" in the opening scene. Well, we know that's a lie.

    - The infinity stones came from the big bang. That's the story I want to see.

    - Stan Lee was in no way fit to drive a bus.

    - I can see my neighborhood in the NYC establishing shots!!

    - The CGI on those Thanos lackies... yikes.

    - We still don't…

A masterclass in filmmaking and easily the greatest movie about movies that is also about planes ever made. You just can’t take that away from it.

DiCaprio’s Oscar was 11 years overdue. It’s insane how good he was so early. Nothing but respect for my king.
