Locked Down 2021
Watching Locked Down as we’re living in “unprecedented times” will be a different experience than people in 30 years will have, which whether good or bad, makes it useful.
They need to know how cringe zoom chit chat is.
They need to feel the awkwardness.
THEY NEED TO UNDERSTAND HOW MUCH THIS FUCKING SUCKS.

Velvet Buzzsaw 2019
Can’t say I loved the horror elements, but everything else I was so damn here for.
I’m one of those elitist dweebs who is fascinated by the art world (especially modern art), which is definitely why I like Velvet Buzzsaw so much.
Well, either that or Jake Gyllenhaal summoning shades of Dr. Johnny Wilcox to play a guy named Morf.
I love how Gyllenhaal has made it a point to defy the expectations we have on square-jawed, barrel-chested leading men like…

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice 2016
I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a movie rely so much on news footage to tell its story. Snyder uses it for exposition, literally explaining the story as it happens and providing commentary so the audience gets what he's going for.
This movie is so dumb. I love it.
If the Snyder Cut isn’t this dopey and nonsensical, I will be very disappointed.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice 2016
Zack Snyder didn’t fail, he just flew too close to the sun.
This rating isn’t as sarcastic as you think it is. I fucking love this movie.
Ultimate Edition, obviously.

Batman Forever 1995
Kilmer: really, really good Batman. The only thing about this performance that annoys me is I wish he’d gotten a Nolan-esque script to work with. He might be the best actor to play Batman so far.
Jones: Yikes. But he hates Carrey so that made it fun. Two-Face should never be a “supervillain” imo. Even in the Arkham games I find the concept of him as a Crime Boss silly. He should be a tragic figure…

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald 2018
Has some fleeting fun & coolness until it stops down for what felt like two hours to tell us a bunch of stuff about the Lestrange's for the sole reason that R*wling needed to set up the Aurelius Dumbledore bit.
Maybe it comes into play later on, but if it doesn't it'll be the dumbest and most pointless thing in all of these stories.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald 2018
I am that Harry Potter fan that unabashedly adores (most of) The Crimes of Grindelwald and The Cursed Child. It’s just me. A true party of one.
Every single minute Dumbledore’s on screen is magical here. Jude Law perfectly inhabits the character, bringing in some Harris, Gambon and book Dumbledore into his depiction of the character. He’s always been my favorite HP character, and this series has been time well spent with him so far.
On the opposite side of…

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull 2008
First time since the theaters in ‘08.
It was an entertaining movie then and it is an entertaining movie now!
