I didn’t watch the trailer so I had no idea Daddy was the baddy. I spent almost the entire runtime assuming that the ‘twist’ was going to be that he was put up to it by the ‘real killer’ who was threatening to off his family/blow up the stadium if he didn’t follow orders. What actually goes down in the 3rd act makes even less sense (in typical M. Night fashion).

This is the second film Shyamalan has produced this year to showcase his nepo babies, the first being his 25yo daughter's objectively awful, daddy-assisted directorial debut (The Watchers) and now Trap staring the other daughter as the popstar/super samaritan (it’s also a showcase for Josh Hartnett’s rock hard dad tits, but they get second billing). At least Shyamalan's nepo project got Alison Pill a check too--cast her in more movies, losers!
