Benjamin Copelin’s review published on Letterboxd:
Tomorrow will mark my 1 year anniversary of being on Letterboxd! I honestly didn't think I would get this much followers even after an entire year! Thank you all for all of the likes and comments! I knew I would get obsessed with the site, but I didn't think I would have interacted with other users as much as I did: commenting, recommending movies, sharing my interests whether they'd be popular or niche topics, and just leaving a good impression on others. My only regret os that I haven't joined sooner.
Now there's two things that I'd like ask:
1. Would you be interested in me diving deep into a childhood franchise that meant a lot to me tomorrow in honor of my One Year Anniversary? It will be a post of a certain kid's movie except it's not about the movie itself, but I will instead use it to make a full on retrospective of the franchise from its beginnings, to the release of said movie, to what it is now. It's a topic that I would love to share with you, just bare in mind that it will be very long. I'll try not to overdo it, though. Also, yes, I did make an actual review of thr movie a while ago.
2. Would you also be interested in me sharing some ideas for an original story/fantasy world? I'm not sure what I want to make this into: a book series, a movie series, a web comic, or even a video game (though that would be the most time consuming which is saying a lot). Point is, I've randomly came up with this fantasy world where all sorts of stories can be told. It would be an anthology telling multiple stories involving different characters and time periods. I'm still figuring out the characters and the basic setup for their stories. Some will overlap with other' journeys while others will be completely separate and can even come from hundreds or even a thousand years before another character's story. It sounds ambitious, I know, but at the moment, I do have one particular story that I'd want to flesh out more before moving on to finish the others. There's no main character in this anthology (that's the point of it), but there are two characters that I wouldn't mind being the main icons for this series. And lastly, yes, I'd thought it'd be fun to have the characters be anthropomorphic animals. Why not?
So, would you be interested in me sharing my ideas for this anthology fantasy series, as well as the deep dive retrospective of a certain childhood franchise? Comment below and tell me what you think. If you're interested in my fantasy idea in particular, I will share my descriptions for the two characters that I have in mind later today.
On a side note: I'm currently obsessed with The Secret World of Arrietty soundtrack. 😊
