I was going through the anime I’ve seen, and realized that there’s some good ones that some of my fellow anime fans haven’t watched or watchlisted yet, so I figured I’d take a paint drying log to give some a shout out. If you don’t like anime, some of these are good starters. I’m not gonna give a synopsis for each show though, I’ll just link the show lol.
1: Steins;Gate
To be honest I’d recommend going into this knowing as little as possible. Just know that it’s a little slow at the start, and the premise involves time travel. Some of the best time travel media I’ve seen.
Watch if you like: Back to the future, Your Name.
This one is a personal favorites and a really good starter anime if you’re not into anime. It’s really short and has a beautiful story, score, animation.
Watch if you like: Being sad….or uhhh Grave of The Fireflies?
Very wholesome slice of life anime about a super villain who just like pandas. I feel like that’s all I need to say.
Watch if you like: Slice of life, pandas.
4: Mashle
Mashle is basically a spoof Harry Potter, but one that actually has some good heart to it. Harry Potter+One Punch Man is how it’s described
Watch if you like: Harry Potter, One Punch Man, Mob Psycho.
5: 86
I still need to rewatch this one myself, but I remember it being really good, I just didn’t love anime at the time lol. It deals with similar themes to Attack on Titan kind of.
Watch if you Like: Attack on Titan, Mechs.
Basically Sherlock Holmes, but with Moriarty as the protagonist. I don’t even really like Sherlock Holmes but I found this one to be really entertaining and well made.
Watch if you like: Death Note, Sherlock Holmes
7: SpyXFamily
A very cute show about a found family consisting of A spy, an attractive assassin, a psychic little girl, and a Dog.
Watch if you like: Family friendly anime? 😂
8: Jujutsu Kaisen
I of course couldn’t not talk about my personal favorite anime Jujutsu Kaisen. It’s what I believe to be the best action anime. However, it’s not tied down to being just an action anime, it’s often so much more. You can quote me on this, it’s demon slayer, but better.
Watch if you like: Bleach, Naruto, Demon Slayer.
9: Erased
It’s not as good of a time travel Story as Steins;Gate, but beyond the iffy ending, I personally really liked this one. It’s also only 12 episodes!
Watch if you like: Back to the future, Your Name, mystery
