Crime Scenes (and Weapon Components) are a Random Event in Grand Theft Auto Online, added as part of the continuation of The Criminal Enterprises update released during Brioso 300 Widebody Week on August 11, 2022.
Description[]
A Crime Scene may appear in one of ten locations across Los Santos and Blaine County. Players may infiltrate these crime scenes to find a total of 5 separate weapon components to assemble the Service Carbine rifle.
When collecting the parts, the player gets $5,000 and 2,000 RP for the first four parts each, then $55,000 and 2,000 RP for the last part. If the player has completed the Service Carbine and then collects a part at a crime scene again, they get $10,000 and 2,000 RP.
The crime scenes will usually spawn with an LSPD vehicle with its lights flashing parked nearby. The evidence may be unguarded, or there may be police nearby who will attack the player (and give a wanted level) after a verbal warning if the player approaches the evidence.

Glitches[]
- Similarly to other missions that involve entering a crime scene with police present, if the player is killed by the police and respawns, the police will usually be seen leaving the area, allowing the player to collect the evidence without issue.
