Related Works[]
The following aren't alternative editions of the Girl Genius graphic novels, but they are closely related works that share the same characters and setting, or, in some cases, are about the world of Girl Genius itself.
- Girl Genius: The Secret Blueprints, Volume One
A PDF-format full copy of the out-of-print introduction-cum-reference; also known as Issue #0. - The Girl Genius Sourcebook and Roleplaying Game, previously referred to as The Secret Blueprints, Volume Two
This book spent so long in development that it began to seem almost mythical but was finally released in August 2021; it was published by Steve Jackson Games. - Girl Genius: Nuts and Bolts
A book collecting "silly side stories and extras". Currently available as a PDF but a hardcopy edition is promised ✣ . - The Quest for Gold and Sequels
A stand-alone graphic novel adventure set in the world of Girl Genius, featuring Franz Scortchmaw, the Great Dragon of Mechanicsburg and several new characters, along with appearances by some old favorites. - Othar's Twitter
Although Othar's Twitter is only on-line and not in hardcopy print format, it is nonetheless a spinoff of the main series. - Girl Genius: The Works
The Works is a strategic card game with character designs from very early on, providing some tantalizing glimpses into what may yet come to be in the storyline. The original edition of The Works is long out of print, but a second edition was released many years later. The new edition only features characters who existed in the comic at the time of its release.

References
- ↑ The term "Standard Graphic Novels" is used here to distinguish these collections of Girl Genius comics from the color omnibus published by Tor, as well as from the prose novel series. In the past these editions were referred to as "Studio Editions" (because they were self-published under the Airship Entertainment of Studio Foglio) by the Foglios and on this wiki, but that convention has fallen out of use.
- ↑ The titles of volumes in the First Journey all start with the phrase: "Agatha Heterodyne and the…" For example, Agatha Heterodyne and the Beetleburg Clank.
- ↑ OV = Overall Volume number: The number of the volume disregarding the break and numbering reset between the First Journey and the Second Journey.
- ↑ Does a printed edition exists?
- ↑ SP = Story Pages: These page counts are for the pages devoted to the story. Introductory/copyright pages and pages of extras are not counted.
- ↑ TP = Total Pages: All pages in a volume, including introductory/copyright pages and pages of extras. A dash in this column means that, although the volume is complete, the pages (published on the Girl Genius website) haven't been complied into a PDF or print volume yet and the total page count is not yet known.
- ↑ RSPC = Running Story Page Count: The total number of story pages in this volume and all previous volumes added together.
- ↑ Visual Page Count: A bar graph representing the length of each volume in pages. The blue section represents story pages and the green section represents the remaining pages. The total length of the bar is proportional to the total length of each volume.
- ↑ Extras means that there are additional pages of art or story before or after the main Girl Genius episode contained in the volume. Extras are often also referred to as bonus material. A dash in this column means that, although the volume is complete, the pages (published on the Girl Genius website) haven't been complied into a PDF or print volume yet and whether any extras will be present is not yet known.
