- The Lackya seem to me to be the type that would immediately run off to report unauthorized personal. So, why was this one just hanging out in the rafters instead of reporting? Makes me think perhaps he should not be there either. Dperra.sr (talk) 14:13, 27 November 2024 (UTC)
- It'd probably make sense to do at least a little bit of information-gathering before running off to tattle. If he hadn't been interrupted, maybe he would have spent just a minute or two estimating the size of the boarding party and observing what they were doing, and then he'd go to make a report. On the other hand, if this part of the ship has already been evacuated, that does strongly suggest he's not supposed to be here. Mskala (talk) 14:36, 27 November 2024 (UTC)
- Considering the attendant at the docking bay thought all personnel had been evacuated, it may be that the Lackya on the Castle either have avoided being wasped or are somehow resistant to it, and are quite suspicious of all of the crazy activity going on with the evacuation. In which case the Lackya and Jägers are being suspicious of one another but may end up as temporary allies here. Or, you know, they could just be a bunch of poncy jumped up squirrels doing the work of whatever nefarious force is on the Castle. . . MTBinDurham (talk) 18:16, 27 November 2024 (UTC)
Perhaps the Lackya is able to intuit that something is amiss on the ship and that's why he's hiding in the rafters. If this is Katz, then he's been hiding in plain sight since the beginning of the story. If anybody were to sense that the Barron is acting strange, it would be him.
Just a minor note. Minsk describes the Lakya as "Zuper-engineered sqvirrels or zumting". They seem to hiss quite a bit, something squirrels aren't known for. Fred1740 (talk) 12:52, 28 November 2024 (UTC)
- I have always considered that characterization to be more an insult than a statement of fact. There is nothing about the Lackya appearance that resembles squirrels. Calling them "squirrels" strikes me as highly insulting if they are some other type of construct. Dperra.sr (talk) 13:06, 28 November 2024 (UTC)
