"A rod bearing the magnificent antlers of a reindeer. All fish have a 25% chance to be Jolly."

- Description

Overview[]

The Antler Rod is a Rod in Fisch featuring a smooth wooden shaft with reindeer antlers at its base, complemented by red accents that enhance its festive design.

The rod boasts a unique passive ability: each fish caught with this rod has a 25% chance of having the [[Mutations|Jolly mutation.

Fishes with this mutation take on a neon green and red colour, and their value is increased by ~1.2x (20%).

Obtainment[]

The Antler Rod can be obtained for free by signing in for 5 days during the Advent Calendar event (2024). Talk to the Tom Elf NPC to view the calendar, which is located near the Leaderboard at Moosewood.

Notes[]

  • Instead of waiting, players can skip days on the calendar using Robux, allowing them to obtain the rod early.
  • The best enchantment for this rod is likely Unbreakable, as it increases the rod's low max weight of 200kg, enabling players to catch high-rarity fish that are typically heavier than 200kg.
  • Resilient is another recommended enchantment, as it boosts the rod's subpar resilience stat of -4% and makes it easier to catch high-rarity fish that typically move erratically across the fishing bar.
  • However, you can use specific types of bait, such as Garbage, Coral and Deep Coral, to counter its low resilience.
  • The passive gives an average multiplier of 1.05x per fish (you make on average 5% more cash compared to no passive).
  • This Rod can be only be obtainable for a limited amount of time in the Advent Calendar event (2024) on the 5th day.

Trivia[]

  • There is a small red ball on the edge of the rod's reel along with antlers on both sides. This design is likely a reference to the popular Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer story on Christmas, as it strongly resembles a reindeer.
