"The Friendly Neighborhood" is the first segment of the fifty-fifth episode of Spidey and his Amazing Friends. It premiere on January 8, 2024 alongside "Flight of the Butterflies" and is the first segment of the first episode of the third season.[1]
Synopsis[]
After Zola steals the Community Center’s party, the community works together to get it back.
Plot[]
The episode begins in the community center, with Team Spidey working together with other heroes to set up a large party for the neighborhood. Iron Man tests out the karaoke machine before leaving and The Thing and Mr. Kim serving barbecue meats. However, when Team Spidey and Mr. Kim go inside, Zola and his new Hydra-bots sneak in and steal everything so he can throw a party of his own. He and his minions leave to find balloons and a cake. When Team Spidey discovers their party missing, Ghost Spider finds Zola running away. Team Spidey swoops into actions.
After finding out that Zola and his minions stole all the cake from a bakery, they conclude that he wants to throw a party of his own and will be going after balloons next. They remember that there is a balloon vendor in the park, but arrive too late as Zola swipes that as well. Zola and his Hydra-bots then steal rope from a window washer platform before escaping again, forcing Team Spidey to rescue the worker. Spin remembers that Zola has Iron Man's karaoke machine and listen for the loud singing, finding Zola and his minions in an abandoned warehouse. Team Spidey calls Iron Man for backup before entering.
Team Spidey webs up Zola's Hydra-bots successfully, but Zola reveals a surprise laser he hid in his piñata and begins blasting everything. Luckily, Iron Man arrives at the perfect time and destroys the piñata, allowing Team Spidey to web up Zola. Unfortunately, the piñata laser destroyed all the party items. The community comes together to make a new party for the neighborhood. The episode ends with Team Spidey performing a song using their instruments for their friendly neighborhood. However, Ant-Man and Wasp hated Team Spidey's song.
