The Merry-Go-Round Horse (OOP16-KE) is an Object of Power contained by the Federal Bureau of Control in the Oldest House. When Jesse Faden binds the OoP in the mission A Merry Chase, it grants her the ability Evade.

Overview[]
The Merry-Go-Round Horse is a horse-shaped fiberglass carousel ride seat, now removed from the ride but still attached to its pole. The item is capable of moving short distances at great speeds, which can prove greatly hazardous to any objects or persons in its path.[1]

According to its documentation, the Merry-Go-Round Horse is to be contained in a confined space when not bound to a parautilitarian.
Background[]
Discovery[]
The Merry-Go-Round Horse was originally part of a carousel ride in an abandoned amusement park which was the subject of local rumors reporting that rides moved on their own, chasing out trespassers. These rumors eventually reached the Bureau through America Overnight episode 235, and agents were dispatched to investigate the site. Upon arrival, the agents discovered three locals dead in the park; the Merry-Go-Round Horse itself attacked one agent before the agents invoked Formula C.5 long enough to pacify the object and bring it back to the Oldest House.[1]
Events of Control[]
The Merry-Go-Round Horse was relocated to the Panopticon in the Oldest House, where it was kept in containment and bound to a Bureau parautilitarian. A few weeks before the Hiss invasion, the object became unbound, escaped containment, and disappeared into the Maintenance Sector, leading Maintenance Security Chief Simon Arish to instruct his agents to watch out for it.[1][2]
During the Hiss invasion, the Merry-Go-Round Horse was corrupted by the Hiss. Jesse Faden can optionally investigate the Maintenance Sector's Break Room to discover the object in an unstable, shifting area of the Oldest House. Unlike other corrupted OoPs, the Merry-Go-Round Horse does not react to Jesse's presence in any way. Upon cleansing it and binding herself to it, Jesse will gain the ability Evade.[3]
Achievements and trophies[]
The following achievement and trophy is gained when the Horse is cleansed and bound, and Jesse Faden has returned from the Astral Plane.
