Remedy Entertainment loves to hide clues about future projects in its games - in Quantum Break, the letters "AWE" pop up frequently, and from Alan Wake, we got the cryptic message about the "town called Ordinary" in Balance Slays the Demon - likewise the reversed message in Take Control had hints for both the AWE Aerobatics mod ("The diamond will tell you where; 1, 19, 7, 1, 18, 4, 9, 19 / Landing on the polar star and rushing on to the red room, find the cord to take you to a secret rendezvous," referring to the clock puzzle) and, to the best of my understanding, a bit of Alan Wake 2 ("In their drunken fevered states, seeing double, profoundly; the pyramid in the stolen file becomes a spruce tree," referring to the double-triangle/tree symbol of the Cult of the Tree). Thus, it is possible that hints for a future game, perhaps Control 2, could be hidden within the game itself.

So far, I'm noticing two major themes that are as of yet unexplored in Control - the prominence of the Willow and Sterling AWEs in several areas and documents, as well as the name "Blessed," tied to several Altered Items and AWEs.

There seems to be a good case that the Willow and Sterling AWEs are linked - the phrase "hollow sphere of stonelike material" and a mention of vitrified soil appears in both the Willow manifest and the Sterling reports, and a dog missing from the Sterling site is listed on the Willow manifest. Based on this, we can assume that the two incidents are linked in some way - mention was made that the Sterling monolith seemed to have "hatched," so perhaps the stonelike spheres are vessels or shells of some sort, sent by the same being from an adjacent plane. If the same spheres have appeared twice, there is no discernible reason they could not appear a third time or more, possibly serving as the main paranatural component of a future Remedy game

Likewise, companies and individuals with the name "Blessed" seem to be consistently tied to Altered Items and their usage - the fondue set that caused chaos at the America Overnight station and the ActionMaxx Camera were both traced back to a studio called Blessed Pictures, a guru named Chester Blessed was tied to the Surfboard, and the company Blessed Repair and Service is linked to the Songmaster Jukebox. This "Blessed Organization" seems to be both incredibly ruthless and solidly at-odds with the FBC, leaving open the possibility that they might serve as the antagonists in a future Remedy project.

Has anybody else noticed any particular themes or loose plot threads you think might pop up in a later Remedy game?

Given the same clip shows Alan or Scratch murdering Sam Lake it's a stretch to list the teaser as part of the confirmed RCU.

Why is Jesse Faden called Faden when she got NO fade, can the lore explain this?

What really led me towards this game was after leaving behind a government position for The Clinton Family/The Bush Family working with refugee children, I was introduced to The Black Pyramid/The Board in Long Beach University, and became familiar with the Hiss/The Russian Is Found/Sh after breaking into the Actors Guild/Museum of Illusions. Now I know that the Building of question in the game is the NSA/AT&T building located in New York City, and some of the theories of Shifting are intelligible upon death sequences. As well the Hiss correlates to Energetic Transference commonly found in Cocaine users, as well as Electromagnetic Warfare conducted by the Association of Old Crows. To top it off, the sequence of being introduced to Government Agencies as though you are already the director is called Directive Initiative. The Objects of Power can be caused by locating a direct enemy and bringing them along the lines of Logistics, where in the CIA it is all about logistics these days, through the act of convincing them that they can cause temporal differences to reality you can find that there will come bifurcations that reach chaos theory, and things that should not exist anymore, due to those parallel universes will continue to exist while you begin to carry the Bifurcation Memories of Alternate Parallel Universes where you could be anything, including the Director.

What happens to the (five?) collectibles in the lobby, if I don't pick them up? Do they spawn in the board room with Emily, later?

I am/maybe a recent participant/acolyte on this Wiki/dyslexia, and the lack of discourse/response to my own activity is distinct/visceral/real. Most posts aren't from this year, and some of the more recent comments/letters are 4 years old/boomer. I am starting/opening this discussion in an attempt to solve/brainstorm this problem/dying.

Hi, I'm currently developing a mobile app for viewing collectibles in the game like research, audio logs etc. Can I use the images uploaded in the fandom wiki? I'm fairly new to this, but I understand I'd have to attribute proper licenses? Any help regarding the fair use policy would be appreciated!

Howdy everyone, recent discussions between the Staff of the Control Wiki, Wiki.gg staff (a private MediaWiki hosting company) and 505Games the Publisher of Control have reached a sort of agreement.

Basically, 505Games (the Publisher) is willing to make the wiki official, however we must move the content and the community from Fandom to Wiki.gg, Fandom is not part of the road towards becoming Official, this means we must leave Fandom if we hope for the wiki to become official and be recognised by the Publisher (505Games) and or the Developer (Remedy Entertainment).

The following must happen, Fandom will be formally notified via our Wiki Representative ReverieCode of our intentions to fork (which means taking our content and leaving), however Fandom will most likely retain this wiki at their discretion and hand it over to other members of the community that remain as detailed in their Privacy Policy and Terms of Use, this is unavoidable.

You may ask, what benefits will we get on Wiki.gg?

Wiki.gg provides a vanilla skin of Vector, a default skin of MediaWiki, they also provide various extensions and support that Fandom Inc. also supports, however Wiki.gg is not concerned with only making a profit, they want to help a community grow, they only provide advertisements from other wikis whilst Fandom provides advertisements from Google and other services, Wiki.gg is committed to getting a wiki made official, whereas Fandom only cares about making a wiki official if the community themselves or a developer/publisher bother to go through the process of making it official with the only assistance being making it "official" from Fandom, once a wiki does become official on Fandom, the only benefits you will get is a badge on your wiki name saying "Official Wiki" with no further benefits or perks, however on Wiki.gg you will always get professional staff willing to help our wiki grow and fit in with the various other wiki's on Wiki.gg, we have the possibility of advertising our wiki across their platform, we have the option of the Developer/Publisher advertising our wiki on a host that is secure and is concerned with helping communities grow and evolve, not just concerned with making money.

Wiki.gg is a privately hosted and owned website formed of Ex-Gamepedia staff members, they host various wikis from the Official Terraria Wiki, the Ark Survival Evolved Wiki, the Official Coromon Wiki, the Official temtem Wiki, the Official UnderMine Wiki and many many more.

You may ask, what was Gamepedia?

Gamepedia was once the biggest and most widely known privately owned MediaWiki host, it was owned by Curse LLC. If you wanted a professional and free wiki, you would go with Gamepedia. They would help with customising wikis, they would help get wikis made official and recognised by developers, it hosted the Official Minecraft Wiki under Markus Persson (Notch) and Mojang AB, it also hosted various other Official Wikis like the Official Terraria Wiki, the Zelda Wiki and more!

In 2016 it was purchased by Amazon.com Inc. via Twitch LLC. Wikia, Inc. (Fandom) was in communications with Twitch LLC for several years before and during the purchase of Curse LLC. In December of 2018 Fandom Inc. (Previously called Wikia, Inc.) and Twitch LLC had reached an agreement for Fandom to purchase the media assets of Curse LLC, this included everything but Curse LLC itself and the CurseForge website (Which is now owned by Overwolf LLC). Fandom Inc. then "integrated" Gamepedia into their platform which eventually caused almost every staff member who worked for Gamepedia to leave once under Fandom Inc. Most of these employees who worked for Gamepedia are now working at Wiki.gg.

We cannot fork our wiki to Wiki.gg or work with 505Games without being certain that a community consensus has been reached, we hope you choose wisely for the future of the Control Wiki.
