James McCaffrey was a Northern Irish-American actor. He portrayed the character of Zachariah Trench in Control. McCaffrey was best known as the voice of the titular character in Remedy Entertainment's Max Payne series. He also voiced the character Thomas Zane in Alan Wake, another Remedy title, as well as the various iterations of Alex Casey in the Alan Wake games. McCaffrey passed away on December 17, 2023.
