Beast Beneath the Moonlight (
Description[]
Main[]
Beast Beneath the Moonlight gives Atsushi the ability to transform into a white tiger. At first, he did not seem to have much control over the transformation, likely due to the fact or caused by his unawareness of his state as an ability user.[1]
After becoming an official member of the Armed Detective Agency and under the influence of All Men Are Equal, he gains more control over his transformations.[3] The ability gives Atsushi the following traits:
- Full body to partial transformation: Atsushi has shown several varying states of transformation, which range from a rather large full tiger form, to just slit pupils and tiger stripes on his face. He can transform and manifest various tiger body parts at wills, such as tiger forearms with claws or a tiger tail.
- Regeneration: Also notable is that Atsushi's ability has extreme regenerative powers capable of healing bisection and amputation almost instantly. This was shown during his fight with Ryunosuke Akutagawa.[1]
- Increased speed, strength and stamina: He has shown to possess immense speed, stamina, and strength on several occasions. He has also been shown to be a natural fighter in close combat and has shown to very cunning in battle in several fights. He is able to corner an enemy over a short amount period of time.[4] Atsushi is capable of destroying Akutagawa's spatial barrier rift and tearing through his Rashōmon.[5] He can also outrun and avoid anti-air cannon attacks.[6]
- Enhanced senses: Due to the tiger's nature, Atsushi can hear and see above what is normal for humans. Atsushi is able to sense danger from above[7] or see something very clearly from a distance.[6] He can sense other people's presence,[8] or use the tiger's sense of smell to detect scents from people.[9][10]
- Enhance durability: With the tiger's power, Atsushi can withstand physical attacks or resist damage including sword attacks[4], extreme falls from heights,[6] or even shots on his forehead.[11] Atsushi is also able to endure multiple attacks from an enemy,[5][7] or even explosions.[6] However, However, Atsushi's durability also have a weakness against explosions at it can result for his legs to be shattered, leaving him immobile.[6] Atsushi's tiger strength can also be easily overpowered by Ōchi Fukuchi's Mirror Lion.[12]
Moreover, Atsushi can use the tiger's individual parts as part of his ability even if he is at partial transformation:
- Tiger Claws (
虎 の爪 Tora no Tsume?):The tiger's claws can cut through ability themselves which are seen when Atsushi is able to tore through Akutagawa's Rashōmon and is able to ripped up Fitzgerald's strengthened body.[13] - Tiger Tail (
虎 の尾 Tora no O?):Atsushi can make the tiger's tail appear to grab someone or to something.[5][11] - Tiger Fangs (
虎 の牙 Tora no Kiba?): Part of Atsushi's ability, he can use the tiger's fangs to catch a fast object like a bullet[14] or break a weapon use against him, such as a gun.[15]

BEAST[]
Beast Beneath the Moonlight allows Atsushi to transform into a vicious tiger beast capable of attacking enemies and annihilating an entire platoon.[18] Due to Atsushi unable to control the tiger's strength and to prevent the tiger from losing control whenever he transformed, Atsushi wears a large, sturdy iron choker under his tall stand-up collar. The collar is strapped around Atsushi's neck, of which both of its sides have claw-like spikes.[19][20]
