Gerald Carnicella (Republican Party) ran for election for Lieutenant Governor of Pennsylvania. He did not appear on the ballot for the Republican primary on May 17, 2022.

Carnicella was a 2018 candidate for District 72 of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives and a 2016 candidate for District 35 of the Pennsylvania State Senate.

The candidate filing deadline was February 16, 2016. Incumbent John Wozniak (D) announced that he would retire at the end of the 2016 term, ending his re-election bid.[1]

Wayne Langerholc defeated Ed Cernic Jr. in the Pennsylvania State Senate District 35 general election.[2][3]
