Diane Harris was a 2014 Republican candidate for District 86 of the Illinois House of Representatives. She ran unsuccessfully for the 3rd Congressional District of Illinois in the 2014 elections, but was defeated in the primary. She then filed to run for the state house on June 2, 2014.[1][2]

2012
Harris ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House to represent Illinois' 11th District. Harris sought the nomination on the Republican ticket,[8] but was removed from the ballot on February 2, 2012. However, she then ran as a write-in candidate. She was defeated by Bill Foster (D) in the general election on November 6, 2012.[9]
