Chester-Burton (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the Kentucky House of Representatives to represent District 44. She won in the general election on November 5, 2024.
Biography
Beverly Chester-Burton earned master's degrees in education and teaching and a specialist degree in education.[1] Chester-Burton's career experience includes working as a teacher with Stuart Elementary School. She has served as the mayor of Shively, Kentucky, and the director of the Jefferson County Teachers Association.[2]

Noteworthy events
2024 Arrest for drunken driving
On August 27, 2024, Chester-Burton was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. She was charged with reckless driving and a second offense of driving under the influence.[3]
On August 30, 2024, Chester-Burton pleaded not guilty to both charges. Her next court date is a pretrial conference on November 13, 2024.[4]
