Elliott (Republican Party) ran for re-election to the Kentucky House of Representatives to represent District 54. He won in the general election on November 5, 2024.

Biography

Daniel Elliot was born in Danville, Kentucky. He graduated from Boyle County High School. Elliot earned a bachelor of arts from Bellarmine University and a law degree from the University of Louisville. Elliot’s career experience includes working as an attorney. He has been a member of the Perryville Battlefield Commission, the Lake Cumberland Area Development Board of Directors, and the Council of State Governments Intergovernmental Affairs Commission.[1]

A special election for the position of Kentucky House of Representatives District 54 was called for March 8. The filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was January 19.[2]

The seat was vacant following Mike Harmon's (R) resignation after he was elected to the state Auditor position in the November 2015 general election.

Bill Noelker (D) was defeated by Daniel Elliott (R) in the special election.[3][4]
