The Plant Species R Seed is a seed used to grow the Plant Species R . It is a mutated seed designed by Rockwell. The appearance of a fully grown R species resembles that of a smaller variant of the tentacles he sports. Fully grown Species R can be harvested for various type of meat sources depending on what kind of designated R seed was planted.

Obtaining[]

The seeds can be obtained from Mutagen Bulbs, along with Mutagen , but a wave of multiple Summoners is triggered upon harvesting.

The easiest way to farm the seeds is to place beds in the tunnel leading to Rockwell's Innards. Then you can keep checking back for the "Mutagen" Buff in the bottom right of your screen, If it's there- then there are Bulbs active. Simply land next to them and press 'E', Then jet pack away before the Summoner and its friends become too much of a problem.

It can also be obtained at a very low drop rate from some of the race and hunt missions in Missions (Genesis: Part 2).

Planting[]

When placed in a Tek Crop Plot with Fertilizer and Water, the Plant Species R will grow.

Harvesting[]

They yield the same amount of raw meat regardless of tool and quality used. Tools and quality only affect the speed at which you gather meat from Plant Species R plant. Tamed creatures can also harvest Plant Species R plants, but Therizino does not get any additional raw meat when harvesting. Respawn timer is also 30 mins regardless of whether you deplete the plant or leave a small amount of health.

Notes[]

On PvE servers PvPEnableFriendlyFire has to be enabled for players to be able to harvest the seeds.
