Genomics programme - opportunities to get involved

Genomics has the potential to change our approaches to paediatric healthcare. We invite you to hear more about our work in this area as well as opportunities to get involved.

The use of genomic technology in clinical practice may revolutionise treatment and care, leading to faster, more accurate diagnoses, and personalised treatments for babies, children and young people.

In late 2022 we launched a Genomics Working Group, or GWG. Its purpose is to provide subject expertise, strategic and decision-making responsibility for the College’s activities and position on genomic medicine.

In March 2023 we participated in Month of Genomics, in collaboration with Health Education England, with a series of exciting activities in paediatric genomics across the whole month.

Keep an eye out on the Genomics landing page for more information and ways that members can get involved.

As part of our collaboration with HEE, any members interested in getting involved with the paediatric working group for HEE Genomics Education Programme's GeNotes, or genomic notes for clinicians, please get in touch.
