Fleishman Is in Trouble, an adaptation of Taffy Brodesser-Akner’s 2019 novel of the same name, follows Jesse Eisenberg as the titular Toby Fleishman, who is indeed in a spot of trouble. When Toby’s recently divorced wife goes missing without a trace, he’s thrust into the position of figuring out what happened to her while also grappling with what went down in their own ill-fated marriage and dealing with the kids.

In addition to Eisenberg, the FX on Hulu series stars Claire Danes as Rachel, Toby’s ex-wife.  Lizzy Caplan and Adam Brody play two of Toby’s friends. Brodesser-Akner, who wrote the book, created the series as well.
