CARROLL – Atlantic finished its pre-holiday portion of the boys’ swimming season with a triangular meet at Carroll.
The Tigers upended the Trojans 62-31, and Boone took a 72-21 victory.
A second-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle by Keaten Rieken was the best for the Trojans. He came in at 23.61; his season’s best time is 23.29, which puts him just outside the top 50, per GoBound Iowa.
Rieken also took third in the 100-yard butterfly in 1:01.31, while Hunter Quiat posted a time of 2:30.90 in the 200-yard individual medley, good for third. The best relay finish was a third in the 200-yard individual medley relay, at 2:00.12.
The next meet is Saturday, Jan. 11, with an invitational meet at Des Moines Hoover.
