CHURDAN – The holiday break is officially upon all schools across the state, as they will now take some time off to be with family and friends.

CORYDON – Nine times, yes nine times is how many times that wrestlers from SWAT were called up to the podium as champions at the Pride of Iowa Wrestling Tournament in Corydon on Saturday, Dec. 21.

STORY CITY – Atlantic senior Aiden Smith improved to 20-1 on the season after he won the 138-pound championship at Saturday’s Jim Kinyon Norseman Invitational Saturday at Roland-Story High School.

NEOLA – Riverside’s rise in the Western Iowa Conference continues, and it paid off with four championships at the conference meet Saturday at Tri-Center High School in Neola.

CARROLL – Atlantic finished its pre-holiday portion of the boys’ swimming season with a triangular meet at Carroll.

ELK HORN – Youth. It’s a situation Exira-EHK hasn’t been too familiar with the past several years.

COUNCIL BLUFFS – The Atlantic’s girls’ basketball team learned some lessons from games earlier this season where they held big leads but ended up losing.
