I. EVENT DETAILS

II. RATIONALE
The intramural program is one of the most important events on school’s
activities. The basic education include sports in curriculum that will help
students develop teamwork, cooperation, unity and sportsmanship. This event
will also enhance student’s skills and abilities in different sports event. This will
also help encourage students to avoid other vices through participating to the
games includes in the intramurals and build potential players and athletes to the
future. The students of Hinunangan National High School are quality players
and very much willing to participate in different event.
III. OBJECTIVES
1. To develop the skills of the students in different sports and help develop self-
confidence;
2. To promote sports management relationship between teachers and to the school;
3. To encourage students to join different sports event;
4. To encourage students to have unity;
5. To promote discipline, respect, sportsmanship, and cooperation;
6. To create healthy competition surrounding a physical activity, which helps to
promote exercise and general well-being;
7. To prepare for the upcoming District Meet;
IV. Overall rules and regulations in the Intramurals
1. All Factions must have Faction Officers and Faction Coaches/Advisers for the
security and other concerns by their team, players and the management.
2. ALWAYS APPLY SPORTMANSHIP. The decision making regarding the
tensions during play like late calls, delaying time, swapping of players, and other
faults will be the concern of Officiating Officials.
3. PLAYERS and COACHES/ADVISERS must wear their respective uniforms
during the game.
4. EVERY FACTION must provide their own sport equipment per event.
5. EQUIPMENTS that may be provided by the school are the following;
5.1. JAVELIN
5.2. DISCUS
5.3. SHOT (metal ball in shot put)
5.4. BATTED BALLS EQUIPMENT
5.5. NETS (for badminton, sepak takraw,volleyball)
5.6. TABLE TENNIS EQUIPMENT
6 ALL STUDENTS are required to have their ATTENDANCE CARD for
intramurals. These are compose of AM and PM column to be signed during the event
by the Assigned Official.
7. ATTENDANCE is to be contested, so there will be an ATTENDANCE QUICK
COUNT (AQC) to be conducted any time during the event by the assigned Officials.
8. DISQUALIFICATION/EJECTION
Technical Officiating Officials are entrusted with the power to disqualify any
participant from a game, provided that they consulted and is agreed by the School
PESS Coordinator, which is the Overall Tournament Manager. This responsibility
should never be taken lightly. The following guidelines should be followed and
considered cause for disqualification of the offender:
8.1. Any threat of physical intimidation or harm to include pushing,
shoving, bumping, kicking, spitting, throwing at, or attempting to make
physical contact.
8.2. Use of profanity specifically directed at an umpire or vulgar personal
insults, including accusations of bias or cheating.
8.3. Refusal to stop arguing and further delaying the game after the umpire
has provided an athlete or Head Coach adequate opportunity to make his
point. The umpire should warn the athlete or Coach/Adviser that he has
been heard and should return to his position or he will be ejected or
disqualified.
8.4. Throwing uniform items, equipment, or other items while arguing or
from the playing ground is subject for disqualification.
9. PROTEST
a. All protests must be settled on the playing field. No protest will be
considered following the completion of the game, or on a judgment call.
b. Protests on Playing Rule or Improper Substitution; Mandatory Play;
Ineligible Pitcher or Player must be made as soon as the facts become known
and before the next pitch, or before all infielders have left fair territory or, if
on the last play of the game, before the umpires leave the playing field.
c. Protests that shall be received and considered include matters of the
following:
c.1. Misinterpretation of a playing rule.
c.2. Failure of an umpire/officiating officials to apply the correct rule
to a given situation.
c.3. Failure to impose the correct penalty for a given violation.
