Part I
Title of Activity: Brigada Eskwela 2022
Date: August 1 – 22, 2022
Venue: San Gregorio Elementary School

Objectives:
1. To implement school’s maintenance and repair activities
including the provision of the immediate needs of schools;
2. To address the resource gaps for the opening of classes
2022-2023;
3. To strengthen partnership engagements with partners and
stakeholders to ensure quality basic education;
4. To achieve significant goals which shall contribute to
increase students’ participation rate, reduce drop-outs and
help improve learning for both learners and community;
and
5. To create a network of community-based organizations to
get total community commitment for collaborative programs
and projects.
Expected Number of Participants: 50 LGU Members, 50 NGO
Members, 400 Parents, 16 Teachers,

NARRATIVE REPORT
INTRODUCTION/RATIONALE
As stated from DepEd Memorandum no. 62, s. 2022, entitled 2022
Brigada Eskwela Implementing Guidelines, the Brigada Eskwela Program
shall be implemented for the preparation for the opening of classes School
Year 2022-2023. It aims to bring together all education stakeholders to join
and share their time, effort and resources to prepare the public school
facilities. This is an act of volunteerism and bayanihan which is conducted
every year in different public schools.

This year, the theme is Brigada Eskwela: Tugon sa Hamon ng Ligtas

na Balik-Aral. It involves the collective efforts of internal and external
stakeholders to address learning gaps and social issues and to create a safe
learning environment for the learners, teaching and nonteaching personnel,
and community for the achievement of quality basic education.
The Brigada Eskwela program has different components. Brigada
Eskwela sa Paghahanda has been implemented from August 1 to 26, 2022.
The Brigada Eskwela Plus and the Brigada Pagbasa will be implemented
throughout the year.
NARRATION OF ACCOMPLISHMENT
Preparation Phase (July 25-29, 2022)
The San Gregorio Elementary School started the preparation for the
Brigada Eskwela during mid-July. The Physical Facilities, Mr. Lionel O.
Jose, Coordinator inspected and evaluated the facilities of the school to
determine the priority areas. The Brigada Eskwela Coordinator, Ms. Melanie
Capuno prepared and printed invitation letters, letters of intent including
the deeds of donation for the stakeholders.
Week 1 (August 1-5, 2022)
During the first day, the teachers participated in the National Kick-Off
Program through Facebook Live. Teachers were also tasked to invite and
send the invitation letters to stakeholders.
Into the next days, members of 4Ps participated in the Brigada
Eskwela Program. Moreover, parents from different grade levels arrived ang
helped in the clearing of grounds and maintaining the garden. These were
the activities until Friday.
Week 2 (August 8-13, 2022)
The Brigada Eskwela Kick-Off Program was scheduled on August 8,
2022. It started with a motorcade which attended by various government
and non-government organizations. Some of the attendees were members of
PNP, BFP, Philippine Navy, Barangay Councils of San Gregorio, Luna,
Antipolo, and Burgos, Municipal DRRM, Solid #1 KIF-ACO, KABAYAN,
KABALIKAT, Brave Riders Club, Kaligkasan, Women’s Club, KKDAT, Tau
Gamma Phi-San Antonio, Samahang Ilokano (SI)-San Antonio and from the
General PTA headed by Ms. Ma. Leonarda T. Fong.

After the motorcade, a short program was held led by Mrs. Jovelyn R.
Fababier, Principal II. During the program, the signing of Memorandum of
Agreement and pledge of commitment, as well as the announcement of
schedules and assignments were accomplished. After the program, everyone
went to their assigned tasks.
Throughout the week, the following were the accomplishments:
a. Pruning of trees by the Municipal DRRM
b. Ground maintenance with the KIF-ACO organization members
c. Cleaning of classrooms by the teachers and parents
d. Repainting of buildings’ walls with Philippine Navy
At the end of the week, our school received various donations in kind
and in cash. The school received bar and powdered soap, rolls of tissue,
disinfectant, and snacks for the volunteers. The school also received cash
with the total amount of Php 36,250.00. This amount was used to buy
painting and repair materials, health and emergency kits, and materials for
Brigada Pagbasa.
Week 3 (August 15-19)

Partners of our school continued to help and support in this week’s
Brigada Eskwela. During the first day, the Municipal DRRM continued the
pruning of trees. Preparation and establishment of Science and Math Garden
were started. Moreover, signages standee were also prepared for the opening
of classes. The following days, the Confederation of Ilocano Association Inc
and Samahang Ilokano (CIAI-SI) members arrived and helped in the
repainting of walls, buildings, and gates. Teachers and parents also cleaned,
painted and arranged their respective classrooms.
