Narrative Report on Brigada Eskwela S.Y. 2022-2023

“Tugon sa Hamon ng Ligtas na Balik-Aral”

The school is an institution tasked with transforming students into trustworthy members of society. This is
where one is molded into a better person, one who will be a symbol of the type of learning center in which he was
raised.

According to DepEd Order (DO) No. 034, s. 2022 with the theme "Tugon sa Hamon ng Ligtas na Balik-Aral,"
in which all parties involved in education contributed time, effort, and resources to ensure that school facilities were
ready in time for the start of the school year. Since the implementation of Brigada Eskwela throughout the
Philippines, stakeholders, private sectors, and government officials have expressed their support.

Parents and volunteers collaborated to clean up the school and, of course, get everything ready for the
start of classes. In our school, community members of all socioeconomic backgrounds demonstrated
remarkable togetherness and collaboration. They actively promote the improvement of school facilities and
show their support for our school's annual Brigada Eskwela.

Here are the listed accomplished activities during the Brigada Eskwela S.Y. 2022-2023:
Day 1- Opening of Brigada Eskwela S.Y. 2022-2023
The teachers of Bulacnin Integrated National High School held a parade early on August 1, 2022, to
mark the start of Brigada Eskwela. Following the parade, there was a brief program. The presence of various
volunteer groups was acknowledged.
The Brigada Eskwela activity was explained briefly by the school principal and Brigada coordinator. The
opening of the Brigada Eskwela has finally been announced. Teachers, parents, students, and other
concerned community members comprised the willing, ready, and able brigade. Volunteers from Grade 7
gathered at La Presa to begin weeding. They signed the attendance sheet for that day after the cleaning
activity.
Day 2- Cleaned and /or Fixed front area of the classroom
Volunteers continued cleaning the assigned area to Grade 7, the La Presa, to ensure a clean
environment, pollution-free surroundings, and to promote and adopt an environmentally friendly school. The
volunteers and teachers swept and weeded at the same time. They signed the attendance sheets as well.
Day 3- Cleaned roof and fixing of other side of classrooms
On the third day of the school brigade, we were tasked with cleaning the roof and the other side of the
classrooms. Sir Michael lent a helping hand in clearing the leaves from my classroom's gutter. Then, some
volunteers assisted me in cleaning the back of my classroom. Unusable chairs and a table were properly
arranged. That day's attendance was also guaranteed.
Day 4-Cleaned comfort rooms and windows of the classrooms
My classroom had been renovated during the pandemic, so there was only a small area that needed to
be cleaned. That day, the focus was on the comfort room. The toilet bowl was cleaned and disinfected. The
windows in the classroom were also cleaned. Window grills were also cleaned, and some students assisted
me in wiping and cleaning the door.
Day 5- Scrubbed stairs, painting the stairs and posted safety health signages.

On the fifth day, we cleaned the stairs and division wall in La Presa with the help of volunteers. To
remove the old paint, some parents scrubbed the paints with a brush. Then, with the help of Sir Sabido, Ate
Rona, and Kuya Arnold, some parents began painting the wall and stairs. In addition, I posted safety and
health signage in my classroom.
Day 6- Distributed books and modules for the students
BINHS also held Brigada Pagbasa with the help of Bulacnin SK, in which the students read a literary
text in both English and Filipino. In addition, in preparation for the start of the class, the teachers packed and
distributed modules for the students to use. I prepared my WLP and IMS for the first week after the distribution.
We were told to teach psychosocial support to make students feel at ease and welcome at school.
Day 7- Accomplished rating sheet by the assigned evaluative/ Submitted the evaluation sheet of
Brigada Eskwela activities
The teachers ensured that everything was clean, tidy, and ready for the start of class on the seventh
day of the school brigade. The classrooms have been restructured and spruced up thanks to the overwhelming
support of parents, students, and other stakeholders. All of the school's facilities are now in great shape. Tall
grasses have been removed from the school grounds. In general, the school is now ready for its first day.
