PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS FOR TEACHERS (PPST) MODULES

The Philippine Professional standards for Teachers (PPST


shall be used as a basis for all learning and development programs for teachers. It identifies what
a teacher is expected to know, be able to do, and value in his/her profession. It is a public
statement of professional accountability. Philippine Professional standards for Teachers has four
career stages: Beginning, Proficient, Highly Proficient, and Distinguished and seven Domains,
37 Strands, and 37 indicators for each career stage.

Last November 23, 2018 Iba-Ibayo Elementary School conducted Learning Action Cell
(LAC) on the Use of Philippine Professional Standards For Teachers Modules. The session
started at 2:30 in the afternoon.It was participated by the School Head Jun R. Acuna and all
the teachers from Kinder to Grade 6. Topics on the PPST Domains were discussed thoroughly
by Conrada S. Torres. And the Modules Walk Through was given by Loreta P. Santos.

It was indeed a meaningful and fruitful discussion ended at 5 o’clock PM.
