Analysis and Interpretation:

Learners are more inclined on enumerating specific answers rather than responding more
effectively on questions that require higher order thinking skills, at this point, the
challenges, or lack thereof, of comprehension in reading is evident. A suggested
intervention is to enrich the vocabulary with the aim to improve learners’ ability to
comprehend by fully understanding the meaning of the words they encounter.
